At BEX Salon, “traditional” a la carte pricing for services is utilized.

Here’s a list of some of the services you can book with me at BEX and a time estimation of length of service, bearing in mind that additional time may be required depending on length/texture/density of hair etc.

Bangs & Bits - 15min

Please arrive with your hair clean and dry for this short cleanup appointment as no shampoo, condition, or styling is included

Dry Cut - 30min

Please arrive with your hair clean and dry for this extended cleanup appointment as no shampoo, condition, or styling is included

Luxury Blowout or Luxury Curly Hair Styling - 1 Hour

This service includes a shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & blowout styling or diffuser styling

New Client Haircut - 2 hours

This service includes an in-depth consultation, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, haircut, & blowout with product recommendations

Maintenance Haircut - 1.5 hours

This service includes a consultation, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, haircut, & blowout

Color and Blonding Services - 1.5 hours or more

Color and blonding service times vary on a case by case basis. Consultations prior to color services are strongly recommended. All color services include application, processing time, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & blowout

CATSKILLS/HUDSON VALLEY REGION - CREATURE OF HABIT HAIR STUDIO

At Creature of Habit Hair Studio, stylists set their all-inclusive hourly rate and appointments are scheduled based on the estimated time it will take to complete the service as opposed to “traditional” a la carte service pricing. Appointments are scheduled by planning to spend more time on your service than anticipated (potentially finishing earlier than expected) so we can avoid anxiety, rushing, and/or unforeseen costs. When in doubt, book more time than you think we’ll need.

Here are some guidelines for how much time to book with me based on the service(s) you’re looking to book:

Half-hour

A half-hour appointment would be enough time for the following individual services:

• Consultation
  Strongly advised prior to repigmentation & corrective color appointments or creative color appointments

• Bangs & Bits
  This is a dry-cutting visit for quick bang trims. Please come in with clean, dry hair as shampoo and blowout styling is NOT included

1 Hour

A one hour appointment would be enough time for the following individual services (extra time may be added based on length/density/texture of hair):

• Luxury blowout
  Includes shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & blowout styling

• Luxury curly hair styling
  Includes shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & diffuser styling

• Dry Cut
  This visit is for return clients looking for a maintenance cut. Please come in with clean, dry hair as shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & blowout styling is NOT included

1.5 Hours

An hour and a half appointment would be enough time for the following individual services (extra time may be added based on length/density/texture of hair):

• Maintenance haircut
  Includes shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, haircut, & blowout styling

2 Hours

A two hour appointment would be enough time for the following individual services (extra time may be added based on length/density/texture of hair):

• First time haircut
  Includes in-depth consultation, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, haircut, product recommendations, & blowout styling

• Curly cut
  Includes in-depth consultation, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, haircut & refining (dry and/or wet), product recommendations, & diffuser styling

• Gender Affirming Haircut
  Includes in-depth consultation, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, haircut, product recommendations, & blowout or diffuser styling

• Root retouch
  Includes consultation, color application, processing time, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & blowout or diffuser styling

• Gloss
  A gloss is for clients who have had blonding or color services & want to refresh their toner (to mitigate brassiness for example). This service includes a consultation, gloss application, processing time, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition & blowout or diffuser styling

3 Hours

A three hour appointment would be enough time for the following individual services (extra time may be added based on length/density/texture of hair):

• Allover color (not corrective color)
  Includes consultation, color application, processing time, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & blowout or diffuser styling

• Blonding - Pops & Placements
  This blonding service is for clients looking to add pops of brightness to their hair in the form of partial highlights/a money piece/tip outs. This service includes consultation, bleaching as needed for the desired look, toning, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & blowout or diffuser styling

4 Hours

A four hour appointment would be enough time for the following individual services (extra time may be added based on length/density/texture of hair):

• Creative Color - Pops & Placements
  This service can take anywhere from 4 - 6 hours depending on the starting canvas & the desired final look. This service is for clients who already have creative color & want to refresh their rainbows without bleaching again, or for clients looking to add subtle rainbow accents (such as bangs/peekaboo/balayage) to their hair.  Includes consultation (though a separate  consultation prior is strongly advised), partial bleaching as needed to achieve the desired look, toning as needed, creative color application, processing time, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & blowout with thermal styling or diffuser styling

• Blonding - Bright & Blended
  This service can take anywhere from 4 - 5 hours depending on the starting canvas & the desired final look. This blonding service is for clients looking for allover brightness with a blended, diffused, lived-in look. Includes consultation, bleaching as needed for the desired look, toning, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & blowout or diffuser styling

5 Hours

A five hour appointment would be enough time for the following individual services (extra time may be added based on length/density/texture of hair):

• Creative Color - Full Transformation
  This service can take anywhere from 5 - 6 hours depending on the starting canvas & the desired final look. This is a huge transformational service that requires more time than a standard blonding or color service. Please book an in-person consultation prior to your appointment. Includes full head bleach-out & toning as needed to achieve the desired look, rinse and rough dry, creative color application, processing time, shampoo, scalp massage, deep condition, & blowout with thermal styling or diffuser styling
